From a summer camp at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range in Westcliffe, Colorado to our home in a subdivision called Woodlawn... we would like to share our life and love with you through the posts and pics found here.
The Greenes made another visit this weekend and this time they brought Aunt Coco and Clayton. We all had a blast watching the boys play. Clayton is really getting around these days and is thisclose to taking his first steps unassisted! His first birthday party is in two weeks and we are sure that he will be moving solo by then!!

Clayton was pushing Griffin all over the den on his new dump truck. As you can see, Griffin loves it - this was definitely the most fun activity of the weekend. In this first pic it looks like Clayton is winking... he loves it too :)

Last weekend we took some family pictures on North Campus in Athens. And it was HOT! It was our first professional photo shoot and it was a lot of fun. We walked around to several different spots and Griffin was such a sport! He wasn't feeling that great due to this cold or allergies or whatever it is, but he hung in there and I think that we got some great shots.

We have been super busy lately, thus the lack of new posts. Last weekend, Papa, Aunt June and Aunt Janet came to visit and we had a blast! They drove all the way from Birmingham just to see Griffin for a few hours! We all felt very loved. Here are a few pictures from the visit:
Griffin is still standing up every chance he gets. Yesterday he let go of my hands and stood by himself for about 1.5 seconds! I was shocked! And he has done it again today a couple of times. Hopefully I can get this on video soon.
This past weekend we went to Macon for Mother's Day, a memorial for my grandfather and another family photo. The cousins all play so well together.

The kids all cooperated so well. Poor Gray was exhausted by the end and just fell asleep. Griffin was pretty stingy with his smiles. The poor guy has a cold and hasn't been feeling 100% lately. But, hopefully we are getting to the end of it. He was a trooper though and we did get a grin or two out of him.
Blake, Griffin and I took pictures on North Campus in Athens last weekend and I am waiting to see how they turned out. We should be able to see them sometime this week. And when we do, I'll be sure to share a link there too.
Our weekend was pretty low-key. Saturday was rainy so we spent a lot of time being lazy around the house. On Sunday, we got outside to enjoy the sunshine. Here are some pictures of our weekend:
First, we started things off with a nutritious breakfast of prunes and bananas... He was SO messy, I couldn't help but take a picture. It kinda looks like a prune goatee... Then, a little playtime with daddy doing the thing that he loves most right now: standing up. Then on Sunday afternoon Griffin and I played on a quilt while Blake cleaned out our patio area. Future site of a nice big patio made of pavers... Blake loves manual labor... I don't understand. He is getting so close to really crawling, but sometimes I think he just wants to stand up and walk. This picture is called "who needs toys?"

Well, our marathon road trips have come to an end and we are glad to be home. Don't get me wrong, we have LOVED getting away, but three weekends in a row has left us tired and ready to stay put for a while.
This past weekend we went down to Ocala to visit Brad, Christi, Carson and Sydney. The guys went fishing on Saturday while the ladies stayed at home with the kiddos (minus Carson). We went to Sydney's soccer game, played in the pool and just spent some good quality time together. We had a blast. Here are some pictures from this weekend. Griffin's first dip in the pool... Also, Griffin turned 7 months old this past week. I can't believe how big he is getting!
His new trick is to pull up on your fingers and stand forever. He loves it! He has pulled to standing on a toy, a basket and my pant legs but still has to be led to do it. He hasn't tried anything unless one of us is right next to him. He's still pretty wobbly on his feet, but I imagine before too long that he will be trying to walk.
He is drooling like crazy even though there is no sign of a tooth just yet. Last week I could have sworn I saw something in there, but it must have been a bubble or something because I couldn't find it again when Blake got home.
He is taking three pretty good naps a day now. But he still isn't sleeping all the way through the night. I think that I am just going to have to let him cry it out a couple of times. I don't know if I can bring myself to do it though. It's just kinda frustrating to go in there and find him crying with his eyes closed. He usually passes back out when I give him his pacifier, but I can't do that forever...
He is just precious and Blake and I can't get enough of him. Here are this months pictures. Go back and take a look at each month to compare. It's really amazing how much a kid can grow in a month.
That is what my little man is... handsome. Look at these pictures of his sweet little face. If you have spent any time with him lately, chances are good that you have seen the face below. This one's called "Lay off me, I'm starving" - a little SNL reference there :) Deep in thought: And this one is called "Enough pictures, mom!!" Lately, all that Griffin has wanted to do is stand up. He's pretty good at pulling himself up if you just give him your fingers to hold on to. He hasn't figured out that he can pull himself up on furniture yet (and that is ok with me). This afternoon, I stood G up in his crib and put his hands on the rail and he stood there for like 45-60 seconds or so! I was so impressed! Of course when he let go, he fell on his bottom immediately. His balance is not so great yet. But, he did stand long enough for me to get a couple of good shots. Check this one out: Don't mind the double chin... I can't believe that he will be 7 months old next week. I'll be sure to post the regular pictures.
