Coming together!!!

For the last day and a half, I have been down in Macon working with mom to sew our nursery bedding. Although she had never done it before, mom created a beautiful set of bumpers and a crib skirt (with a little help from yours truly). And I LOVE IT!! I don't know if you will be able to see the detail of the fabric, but here it is along with another shot of our changing table. There is one more piece of furniture (a 5 drawer dresser) that is not pictured b/c we are waiting for a piece to come in so that we can finish assembling it.

9 weeks to go until baby Greene arrives!

Birmingham Baby Shower

This weekend we made the trip to Birmingham to celebrate our upcoming family addition with some of our friends and family. My parents even made the trip over to be with us for the big event!

The shower was beautiful and the gifts were extremely generous and we feel so blessed to have all of these folks in our lives. This little baby has no idea how loved he or she will be come September.

In one of the pictures below, I am dressing Blake in the outfit that he wore home from the hospital. It doesn't fit anymore, but hopefully if this baby is a boy, he will wear it home too. The next picture is of Blake modeling "Daddy's Tools of the Trade" that Aunt Janet put together for him. Hilarious...

Also a special thanks to my mom and to Aunt Janet for both hand-making blankets for our little one. Mom's had numbers on it- what a math nerd! (I loved it!!)

Alrighty, enjoy!

1640

Took a few days off from the blog...

We are going to Birmingham this weekend for our first baby shower! Very exciting! I am sure that we will post some pics when we get back.

Oh- and our baby furniture came in so Blake and I have been working on getting it assembled. So you'll be seeing that soon too!

But, for now, here are some shots of the decorating that we have been doing inside of our new place. The pics are of the master bedroom, guest bedroom, kitchen and living room. Enjoy!

Aaaaahhhhhh!!!

Can you hear that? That is the sound of relief that comes when you reconnect to the internet after 4 weeks of living without it (except for Blake's blackberry and the occasional public library visit). I'll be honest, it was rough, but I am back and better than ever and ready to update everyone with some posts and pics.

So, let's start with Baby Clayton. I told you about him in the last post but here are a few pics to show off the little guy.

Here we are meeting him for the first time. Doesn't Blake look like a natural?

And here we are introducing him to his little cousin. This pic was taken in about the second week of June, so I am about a month bigger, but we'll get to that later.

A couple of weekends later, we headed back to Birmingham for Stevie and Melissa's wedding. Here is a pic of Blake, Stevie and Chris. Unfortunately it is not a picture from the wedding, but I can assure you that it was a beautiful ceremony and reception and we wish the Robertson's all the best in their new life together.

Finally, many of you have been asking for pics of the house, so here is our new home sweet home in Dacula, GA. PLEASE come and visit, just give us a head's up when you do! You know that we love visitors!

OK, so here is a baby update while we are at it. I am now 28 weeks along and feeling great! I have found a new doctor here and am very pleased with how thorough and friendly they are. The doctor's group/hospital where I will deliver is about 19 miles from here, but it takes about 30 minutes to get there. I have registered at Babies R Us and will be registering at Target later this week. Now that I have a room to visualize for a nursery, hopefully bedding/theme/color scheme will come a lot easier now. I'll be sure to let you all know what we pick out.

It's time to sign off, but thanks for tuning in and I hope to have more regular posts from now on. Much love to all of you... keep us posted on what is happening with you and yours!!
