I caught Griffin being precious again! Here he is playing in his little bouncy chair. Isn't he just the cutest?

One Whole Month!!
Wow! I cannot believe that this little guy is one whole month old! We went to the doctor today for his one month check up and we have some great, healthy stats to share!
So, at birth our little man was 7 lbs. 15 oz. and 21.5 inches long. Today, he measured a whopping 10 lbs. and 5.5 oz. and 22 inches long (58th percentile in each category). Can you believe it??!!? He is already getting so big!
Also, he is starting to track us with his eyes. I have been working with him for a couple of days using toys, but tonight while Blake and I were walking at the park, he followed Blake from side to side and basically stared at him the whole time.
I can't wait to see what other fun tricks we have in store for the next few weeks. Here are some recent pictures of Griffin.
This one was taken on Monday, his actual 1 month birthday.

I took these two earlier today. I caught him before a yawn... but it looks like he is smiling.

I'll try to remember to take these pictures each month so that we can see how big he gets!

Road Trip!!
Last week, we took the first of what will be many road trips with baby Griffin. We started out the week in Macon. Blake dropped Griffin, Millie and me off at Bets and Pawpaw's house where we spent the week while he made sales calls in South GA and Florida. We had a great time hanging out with Great Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends. We had lots of visitors and really enjoyed getting away for a few days.
On Friday, Blake picked us up and took us to Birmingham to see more family, meet some friends and attend a baby shower for Lea and Bradley Moore who are expecting their sweet baby boy in December. Griffin is going to have so many baby boys to play with as he grows up!
Here are just a few shots from the weekend.
No, we didn't travel by tractor, but Blake couldn't resist taking a spin on it while we were in Birmingham. Griffin is gonna love to ride on his grandfather's tractors when he gets a little older!

Uncle E and Griffin. This is there first time together since the night that Griffin was born! I think that they have a special bond already :)

Uncle Tommy and Griffin. Thanks for all of the diapers Uncle Tommy!! Come to ATL and visit soon!

Stevie, Melissa, Brennan, Brandy, and Tommy. Breagan (Brennan and Brandy's 1 year old) had just gone to bed. He's pretty stinkin' cute though and I know Griffin is gonna love playing with the little guy.

Happy 3-0 to Courtney! We were sorry to miss her actual birthday earlier this month, but we were glad to celebrate with her and help her eat this yummy cake while we were in Birmingham.

And you know that there is sure to be a photo shoot when we have the cousins together. They both have on little onsies that say "Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch." Precious.

I don't know why, but I LOVE the pics where Griffin is yawning... they are my favorite!!

It's hard to believe that this guy is already 1 month old. More on that later.

I'm a fan of Fall
I am convinced that this is the best time of year. There are several reasons that I feel this way, but I'll name a few:
1. Football... this way when people visit we don't just have the baby to stare at, but we have SEC Football on the tube. (it's amazing that I feel this way even after our terrible loss to UT today)
Griffin already loves watching football with his dad.

2. Crisp, cool weather. With weather so scrumptious I can take Griffin out in his little sling and throw the ball for Millie. And I don't even break a sweat!
3. Pumpkin and spice. You name it, candles, muffins, pies, I love this smell!! On Labor Day weekend I started burning pumpkin candles in our house. There is nothing like the spicy, fall smell to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
I. LOVE. FALL.
Aunt June, Aunt Janet and Papa came to visit this weekend and we snapped a few shots of everyone. We LOVED seeing them and we were thrilled that they made the drive from Birmingham to meet our little wonderful. Check out the pics below.

Thanks for the visit!! Come back soon!

On another note... several of you have heard me say it, but this is proof. Sometimes I feel like I have two children :)

Another weekend full of visitors!!
We had another super fun weekend with family and friends coming to visit Griffin. He got lots of love and good holdin' time this weekend when my parents, grandparents, Brad, Christi and the kids came to meet the little guy.
I also took Griffin in to the doctor on Friday to have his little eye looked at. He's had lots of sleep/goop in one eye and I just wanted to be sure it wasn't infected. It's not infected and we have been able to control the goop with a little eye massage. However, while we were at the doctors office we weighed him again and the little chunk has gained a whole pound since we were there last Friday! The doctor seemed very surprised, and said (and I quote) that I must have "some high octane stuff there!" Don't worry, it's not time to put him on a diet, but it looks like we have a little growin' weed on our hands!
Here are some of the pictures from this weekend.
Mops (great grandmother) and Griffin

Grandma and Grandpa with their great grandson

COUSINS!!! (Carson, Bets, Griffin and Sydney)

Papa, Grandma and Griffin

Aunt Christi and the new mom.

Best friends all tuckered out...

We gave Griffin another bath tonight. He was so sweet all wrapped up in his towel afterwards.

We are going to have more visitors this weekend! Blake's aunts and his grandfather will be making the trip from Birmingham. I can't believe that Griffin will be three weeks old on Saturday! On one hand I feel like he has always been a part of our lives, but everything still feels so new. One thing is for sure, we love him so stinkin' much.
