From a summer camp at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range in Westcliffe, Colorado to our home in a subdivision called Woodlawn... we would like to share our life and love with you through the posts and pics found here.
We are less than two weeks away from Christmas and I think Griffin is ready for the man in red to bring him some good stuff!! He walks around the house saying Ho! Ho! Ho! over and over again Here he is in a Santa cap: We had our MOMS Club Christmas party this week and Griffin went toe to toe with Santa. I wish that you could have seen his face up close. This is the best shot that I got. Santa took about 2 more steps towards G and he just about lost it. It was a Christmas miracle that we got this picture without tears. Thank goodness for lollipops! Here he is after being terrified by the giant man in red... enjoying his bribe :) Dear Santa, All Griffin wants for Christmas are his two front teeth. Literally, they are just about to pop out and I am not sure how much longer Griffin can tolerate the pressure on his little gums!! Merry Christmas!!
Griffin is napping so I thought I would take a minute to add some new pictures for you all. Sorry it has been a while!
Here he is enjoying a sugar cookie after he woke up from his afternoon nap. Yum!!
The pictures below are from this past week. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Our niece, Gray is about to turn one next month! Carson is showing Griffin his DSi... which he LOVES! My dad thought it was a great idea to water the garden while the kids were running around after Thanksgiving lunch. They thought it was a great idea too. Needless to say, they had a blast. Griffin was in awe of the water coming from the hose. What a rowdy bunch! After we spent Thanksgiving in Macon, we went to Birmingham for the weekend. Here are Clayton and Griffin helping to decorate the Christmas tree at GG and Pop's house. Griffin was playing with Clayton's hat and making laps around the tree. Blake's buddy Stevie and his wife Melissa came over for a visit... Who the heck are you??? Millie has been great with Griffin lately. He has even been throwing the ball for her around the backyard. Playing in GG and Pop's yard. Griffin LOVES this toy! He stands at it and plays it like a piano and dances like crazy!
Oh and a quick update on Blake's outdoor fireplace: After days and days full of back breaking work... TADA!!!!! Pretty good, huh?? Until next time, Adios!!
That's how I feel about Griffin these days! He is so cute and I am loving watching his little personality unfold.
Every time we go out to run errands or whatever, he is constantly making new friends. How does he do this? Well, he will wave and say "hi" until someone turns to speak to him.
We were at the mall the other day and he waved from the car into the mall and no one ever stopped!! (BOO!) But then when we went to Walmart, he made lots of friends and everyone said hello to the "precious baby who is just so smart!!" Yeah, you could say that I am one proud mama.
Here are some pics of his Halloween costume and more fall fun with Daddy.
A big thanks to Bets for helping us make Griffin the cutest dalmatian on the planet!
How about this sweet costume that Blake dressed G in to go play outside. Not one item matches another and the fleece sleeves are like 5 inches too long. I must say, I laughed out loud when I came outside to find him this way. This is like Griffin's Disney World with all of the leaves on the ground! Looking up at the leaves on the trees. This is what happens when you give G a snack of Cheerios. This is what happens when you let him walk around the house with them. Mom! Stop taking so many pictures of me!! (this from both photo subjects :) I can get Griffin to sit still for like 10 minutes a day with a little Curious George and his bean bag. My neighbor's kids dressed up like Star Wars characters for Halloween and I volunteered to make Yoda for her youngest. Here it is on Griffin before the final adjustments were made... pretty cute, if I do say so.
This weekend we met my parents and some friends in Dahlonega to do some camping. Bets and Papa watched Griffin in their camper for us on Friday night while we froze our rears off in a tent. Then on Saturday, we joined them in the cozy camper. We didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked, but we did get a few shots.
We took a picnic to Vogel State Park and enjoyed a walk around the lake. The leaves haven't all changed, but I am sure in another couple of weeks it is going to be even more gorgeous up there. Griffin was loving playing in the leaves and just being outside in general. Then we went over to Helen to see what was happening at Oktoberfest. Helen was crazy busy with lots of people, but we did stick around long enough to eat a Funnel Cake and some fudge :) Yeah for pumpkins!! Then it was home to play in the dirt with Daddy... Future site of Blake's fire pit: How was your weekend??
