VISITORS!!!
This week has flown by! We had lunch with friends in Lawrenceville, a doctor's appointment, playgroup at our house, and the very best thing that happened this week was a visit from Uncle Ryan, Aunt Ashley, Bennett and Gray! We LOVED having them up! Come back soon guys!!
Here are some pictures of their visit:
Griffin is already learning to share...

We tried for a posed shot, but Griffin looks like Humpty Dumpty and Bennett was too interested in the TV.... better luck next time!

This would have been a cute picture if the camera had focused on both babies...

This is what it looks like when Gray gets a kiss from her big brother... hang in there Gray, atleast there aren't 3 of them :)

Bennett LOVES playing Guitar Hero with Uncle Blake... correction, Bennett loves watching Uncle Blake play Guitar Hero and pretending to play along.

I can't figure out why this picture won't download completely. But it was too cute not to share...
This is what you get when you ask Bennett to smile. What a cool dude :)

Last night Griffin and Blake were having some father-son time and I caught these pics. I love these pictures. Griffin looks like he is just totally in the moment. He LOVES his daddy!

Check up
So, the doctor's appointment went very well this morning. Griffin is a stellar patient- the cutest that they have ever seen! Here are his stats...
Weight: 17 lbs. 2.5 oz. (82%)
Height: 26" (79%)
Head Circumference: 16.5" (34%)
Keeping in mind that 50% is average, our boy is big and tall... AND it even looks like he is bucking the big-head Griffin family trait!!
Other than that, Griffin continues to amaze us daily. He is smiling and interacting more than ever! Come and visit to see him in action!

Four Months old!!!

I cannot believe that my baby is 4 months old. Time has really flown and this boy has REALLY grown. I'll be sure to post the official stats next week after our visit to the doctor, but trust me, he is really getting big.
Here are some pictures of Griffin at four months and at one month. I'm afraid that we will have to upgrade to a new carseat sooner than later :)

Best Dad ever...
Blake built Griffin a toy box for all of the millions of toys that I am sure the will accrue over the next several years of his life (thanks in large part to grandparents that are sure to spoil him rotten :)
He did a great job - there are no nail holes or sharp edges!! Who knew that he was a master carpenter? Here is the finished product...

You can see the enthusiasm in Griffin's face - he loves it!

Were you wondering how big it is? Allow Blake to demonstrate...

Really he built it so that he would have a top secret hiding spot for hide and go seek. Allow him to demonstrate again...

We also bought a new carrier from a mom in the neighborhood. Once the weather warms up, we'll be taking this baby to hike some trails in North GA. Come on Spring!!! In the pic below, Blake was testing it out while he threw the ball for Millie.

I have some good lookin' men in my life, don't you think?

Just a few pics
Time is flying! Griffin will turn 4 months old on Tuesday and he is getting more and more animated and fun everyday. He is reaching for toys, putting things in his mouth, getting closer and closer to sitting up, rolling over and just being the most awesome baby ever. He is laughing, cooing, ahhing, gooooing, saying his ABCs... ok, maybe not, but he is super smart and is learning so fast! He is amazing.
Griffin has been really fun in the bathtub lately. He is kicking and splashing like crazy. Good thing he is enjoying himself because bathtime has gotten a little longer with all of those rolls to clean :)

Multi-tasking.

This is Griffin 90% of the time that we put him in his carseat. This has meant many enjoyable outings for mom and dad.

Chillin' with dad.

I call this "on my level"

Staring contest.

And we have saved the best for last: A video of the little guy laughing. It seems his favorite place in the world is on his changing table. So this is sometimes the best place to catch Griffin in a great mood. Enjoy!

2010!!
I can't believe that it is 2010!
Blake and I just celebrated our 4th anniversary with a trip to Chattanooga. Mom and Dad came up to watch Griffin while we got away for a night. It was a super quick trip (we were gone exactly 24 hours), but it was awesome. It felt like we were dating again... and we got some much needed R&R. No pictures, but here are a few things that we were able to do while we were away...
Beer sampling and hot wings at Big River Brewery
Avatar in 3D
Dinner at Tony's Pasta Shop
Coffee at Rembrandt's
Spent the night at the Bluff View Inn (a quaint little B&B in the Art District)
Breakfast at the main house and more coffee at Rembrandt's
A HUGE thanks to Mom and Dad for taking such good care of the little guy (even sacrificing a little sleep!!) I knew he was in good hands!
Not much else to say, but here are some recent pics.
Here we are at Katie Beth's house for our annual College Roomie Christmas gift exchange. Griffin loves these ladies!! And so do I!

Here he is on the guest bed downstairs. Look at how great he is holding his head up! He is gonna roll over any day now, I can feel it!

Doesn't he look like he's got something up his sleeve?

Here he is in his Bumbo. Pretty soon he'll be sitting up by himself too!

Fun in the Exersaucer
Here is our little man playing in the exersaucer that he got for Christmas. When I put him in it last week, he had to be propped with a blanket, but now he is practically standing in it by himself.

We also put him in the Johnny Jumper a few days ago too... I don't think that he knows quite what to do in it yet, but he seems to enjoy being in it.
It is really cold in our house right now because our heat stopped working downstairs yesterday afternoon. We have a contractor coming this afternoon to fix it. But last night Blake built us a fire and we camped out downstairs and watched the Bachelor. Here is our little guy all bundled. So cute.

Blake caught this picture of Griffin smiling during his nap a couple of days ago. Isn't he precious???
