Yeah for President's Day!

President's Day weekend numero tres was a success. As we have done for 2 years prior to this one, we have had an open invite to all of our friends. The last few years, we have definitely had a strong Macon showing, and this year was no different. As in years...I mean year past, my boy Thomas K Boone was here. Ok, his name is not Thomas K, he is just known around these parts as "Tommy". Although he was greatly missed, Scott and Eric represented the guys well while the College Roomies always show me what true friends are like. We did have a new addition to the guest list. Margaret Ann, one of SK's friends from Raleigh came over and hung out for the weekend, unfortunately, she does not appear in the photos. It does not mean that she won't be remembered.

It was a rare occasion, but Sara Kate turned the big 26 on Saturday. Her husband bought the finest roses Harris Teeter still had on the clearance rack. Sara Kate loves cake...and this cake especially because it was officially the 1st cheesecake birthday cake.

The weekend was border line annoying because all they do is freakin laugh the whole weekend. JK, that's what makes it fun.

Bet you wish you could have been here huh. It's cool, next year is another chance.

Carolina Blue Ice

Last night, Blake and I became UNC fans. We wore blue, drove to Chapel Hill with our good friends Catherine and Matthew and watched the TarHeels dominate the Maryland Terraphins. It was a lot of fun, and now we know what it feels like to sit in the Ding Dome and watch some serious basketball.
But, we weren't sure that we would actually make it to the game because on the way home from work yesterday, before we left, it started snowing. By the time I made it home, it was really starting to come down and the yard looked like this:

Before we knew it, snowflakes the size of baseballs were falling from the sky. OK, maybe that was an exaggeration... but they were big.

Then about 30 minutes later, the yard looked like this:

Crazy! I can't remember a winter when it snowed twice. I know what you are thinking... "Sara Kate, can you remember yesterday?" And the answer is yes.
So, although the snow is pretty and fun to share with all of you. No, I am not happy that that dang groundhog saw its shadow. I am in serious need of some warmer weather. The sooner the better.

Limited Pics

Hello out there!

I don't have much time to write this morning, but I did want to share just a quick update. You haven't seen any posts for a while for a lot of reasons. 1. I refuse to bore you with more pics of our aweome dog. 2. There simply hasn't been much to blog about... don't get me wrong, we are still having fun and kickin' it here in Winston-Salem, but it has sort of been life as usual.

All that to say, stay tuned. Over the next few weekends we should have some blog-worthy photo ops with birthdays and friends visiting and what not.

Much love to all of you and we'll see you soon!
