Well, technically his six month birthday was a week ago, but we went for his 6 month check up yesterday morning and so I feel like that makes it official. Here are stats for the little guy (or maybe not-so-little guy)
Weight: 19 lbs. 4.6 oz. (78th percentile)
Length: 27" (69th percentile)
Head Circumference: 17" (32nd percentile)
The doctor made another comment about the high-test nutrition... very funny. Griffin was sitting in his diaper on the exam table when the doctor walked in and said, "It looks like he's eating well." Again, very funny.
On another note... sort of... he tried sweet potatoes for the first time yesterday and it was a success. You may not think so with the faces that he makes, but he ate them!
And look at this video... we will be crawling forwards before you know it!
I love this kid.

Lots of firsts...
Well, it was a busy week last week and we experienced lots of firsts...
Griffin celebrated his first half birthday
He had his first little ear infection
...and his first round of antibiotics :(
We took him to his first Cherry Blossom event
He ate fruit for the first time - applesauce
His first time trying to crawl (he mostly goes backwards, but it is a matter of time before he's got it figured out)
Blake brought Griffin his first gift from Colorado
Like I said, there was a lot going on and we had a lot of fun.
I can't believe that Griffin is already 6 months old. It seems like just yesterday that we were driving up to the hospital to have him. He is full of personality and flashes those dimples at just about everyone he sees. His latest thing is to open his mouth nice and wide and let out this loud high pitched squeal. It's hilarious. I'll have to try to catch one on camera sometime.
Here are Griffin's 6 month pics and some pics with Bets and Papa from this weekend.
How cute is this little guy? Here's the deer in headlights look that happens when he sees a camera:

Did I mention that these pjs are Carters size 12 month?
Official stats to come after our 6 month appointment on the 30th.

Remember this guy? One Month Post
Showing Papa how to bounce.

Lots of family time!
We have been seeing a lot of family lately and we hope to continue that trend as the weather warms up! A couple of weeks ago, Blake went out of town and Mops came to Dacula to spend some time with her granddaughter and great-grandson. It was a great visit. We just talked and piddled and played with Griffin. It was the perfect distraction while Blake was in Tampa. Griffin got lots of good holdin' time and just loved getting to know his Mops.

Then, this past weekend, we drove over to Birmingham. Griffin was able to see his Grandparents, Great Aunts, Great Grandfather, Aunt, Uncle, Cousin and even some friends. It was a full weekend and even though we had a double whammy with the Spring Forward and losing an hour going from Central to Eastern time on Sunday, it was well worth the trip. Here are some pics from Birmingham...
Clayton and Griffin are learning to share:

This is Breagan, our friends' little boy. He is just precious and played so well with Griffin!

Griffin is a great listener when his Great Grandfather is talking!

Griffin and Clayton had their first bathtime together! It was so cute to see them play and splash in the bubbles!

GG plays with the boys

Aunt June, Aunt Janet and Papa snuggle up with Griffin

Burning off some energy after our drive from Birmingham

Millie is hunting Wabbit...

The adventures in Rice Cereal Continue... Griffin had it all over him this morning, but atleast ate some of it! Still only eating about a Tablespoon, but I hear that will pick up sooner than later! Next week we'll try some veggies!
