Crazy Cute.

That's how I feel about Griffin these days! He is so cute and I am loving watching his little personality unfold.

Every time we go out to run errands or whatever, he is constantly making new friends. How does he do this? Well, he will wave and say "hi" until someone turns to speak to him.

We were at the mall the other day and he waved from the car into the mall and no one ever stopped!! (BOO!) But then when we went to Walmart, he made lots of friends and everyone said hello to the "precious baby who is just so smart!!" Yeah, you could say that I am one proud mama.

Here are some pics of his Halloween costume and more fall fun with Daddy.

A big thanks to Bets for helping us make Griffin the cutest dalmatian on the planet!

How about this sweet costume that Blake dressed G in to go play outside. Not one item matches another and the fleece sleeves are like 5 inches too long. I must say, I laughed out loud when I came outside to find him this way.

This is like Griffin's Disney World with all of the leaves on the ground!

Looking up at the leaves on the trees.

This is what happens when you give G a snack of Cheerios.

This is what happens when you let him walk around the house with them.

Mom! Stop taking so many pictures of me!! (this from both photo subjects :)

I can get Griffin to sit still for like 10 minutes a day with a little Curious George and his bean bag.

My neighbor's kids dressed up like Star Wars characters for Halloween and I volunteered to make Yoda for her youngest. Here it is on Griffin before the final adjustments were made... pretty cute, if I do say so.

We love fall!!!

This weekend we met my parents and some friends in Dahlonega to do some camping. Bets and Papa watched Griffin in their camper for us on Friday night while we froze our rears off in a tent. Then on Saturday, we joined them in the cozy camper. We didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked, but we did get a few shots.

We took a picnic to Vogel State Park and enjoyed a walk around the lake. The leaves haven't all changed, but I am sure in another couple of weeks it is going to be even more gorgeous up there.

Griffin was loving playing in the leaves and just being outside in general.

Then we went over to Helen to see what was happening at Oktoberfest. Helen was crazy busy with lots of people, but we did stick around long enough to eat a Funnel Cake and some fudge :)

Yeah for pumpkins!!

Then it was home to play in the dirt with Daddy...

Boys will be boys

I feel like I will be saying this a lot in the years to come.

I ran an errand the other day and came home to this in the backyard...

What can I say? Daddy is way more fun!

It's a Gymboree Day!!

Daddy came to Gymboree class this morning, so I was able to snap some shots of Griffin in action. He LOVES this place and so do I!!

Here are a couple of pictures that we took in the front yard the other day. Isn't he handsome?

Lots of random fun!

Warning: this blog post is slightly random, but I had some cute pictures that I wanted to share!

We have been having lots of fun with our little guy lately. He is full of energy and loves exploring new places. We take a walk around the yard every day so that he can learn to walk on the different slopes in the back yard. Here he is showing his dad his skillz.

Last weekend we were in Birmingham for a night as we were making our way to Starkville to watch the Bulldogs massacre the Bulldogs. While we were there, Gail pulled out an old Halloween costume of Blake's for Griffin to try on. The hat is a little snug, but the poncho fits great! Hola!

Then, this past Tuesday night our friends Wade and Dawn invited us to watch the Braves play the Marlins. They won and Wade caught a foul ball that was heading straight for us!

This morning we headed to Sims Lake for a little bike ride along the trail. Griffin tagged along in a little cart that Blake got for his birthday this year. He loved it!! Here he is taking the cart on a test run on Friday night in the cul-de-sac.

While we were at the park, Griffin played on the playground for a bit before we strapped him into the cart. He LOVED climbing the stairs, walking in the wood chips and looking around at all of the playground equipment. Here are a few fun shots. Doesn't he look so big??

In this picture he is looking at a tree and saying his new favorite phrase (and mine too), "OH WOW!!"

One Year Stats...

OK, it seems our little guy is starting to even out on the growth chart. As you may know, he was a pretty chunky baby, but it turns out that he is slightly more average these days.
Today we had our 12 month appointment. Here are the stats:
Weight: 22 lbs. 3.2 oz. (40th%)
Height: 29 and 3/4 inches (48th%)

He also had 3 shots today and took them like a man. Well, not really, but he didn't cry for long. What a tough little guy!!
