Our baby girl is one week old and I have finally found an extra minute to share some pictures with you of her arrival.
For those of you who want the details, I am happy to share them with you privately, but for the sake of those who are not interested, I'll give you this... we went to the hospital to be induced on Saturday, September 24th in anticipation that we would have our girl sometime late in the next day (like we did with Griffin). Well, Emerson had other plans and after laboring from about midnight until 6:30 a.m. she was here. Our perfect little girl weighed in at 7 pounds 5 ounces and measured 20 inches long. She scored a 10 on her APGAR test and while we already knew that she was perfect, the score seemed to really shock the nursery attendants.
The night of our induction. Clearly, we have no idea what this night has in store for us.
Bets and Papa were keeping Griffin at home when we called and told them to make their way up to meet Emerson. They arrived shortly after 7 a.m. and were the first to meet her. Big brother was definitely in shock at this point.
GG and Pop drove over from Birmingham to meet their newest granddaughter. This makes 4 grandkids in 2.5 years... wow!

Anna and Katie Beth were our first non-family visitors. We love you guys!
Here is our little beauty enjoying breakfast on the back deck on Tuesday morning. We were released from the hospital on Monday afternoon. It was so nice to be home!
Griffin loves his baby sister and gives her kisses all day long. He loves to point out her "tiny ears" and count her little toes.
Aunt Coco made the trip over from Birmingham to stage a little photo shoot of Emerson. I will post pics soon- they are gorgeous!
