Griffin and I went to the doctor this morning for his two month check up. Here are the quick stats!
Weight: 13 lbs 7.5 oz. (82nd percentile)
Length: 23.5 inches (66th percentile)
Head Circumference: 15.75 inches (48th percentile)
This sweet boy has got a few extra rolls, but they are so stinkin' cute!!
He also got two shots and an oral vaccine today- that was the not so fun part. But, the murse (man nurse) did a great job by getting them done quickly. I didn't even realize that he was giving the second one before it was done. Great job Murse Mark!!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Two Months!
Next week is Thanksgiving and I could list about a million things that I am thankful for this year. However, I think that Blake and I would agree that the little miracle that joined our family two months ago today tops the list.
Griffin is growing like crazy and I will be sure to share stats. with you after our trip to the doctor on Monday.
Check out how much he has grown!!

He has been very sleepy lately, which has allowed me to get a ton of stuff done around here. And (this is the most exciting part) he is starting to sleep more and more over night. We have had two nights in a row of 5 hours of continuous sleep!! Mama is a very happy woman.

I cannot even explain what a blessing the last two months have been. Griffin has been such an amazing little gift. I can only imagine what he has in store for us. The holidays are going to be a blast!!

Almost Two Months
Not a whole lot to say, just some pictures to share.
Tomorrow Griffin turns 2 months old and I will post some pictures and thoughts on how stinkin' fast the last two months have flown. We go to the Doctor on Monday so I am sure that I will have fun news to share about how much our little man has grown. Have I told you lately how awesome he is?? He is definitely getting to be more and more fun everyday. Until tomorrow...
Me, my baby and my smokin' hot hubby

Mom, Dad and Mops came up to visit last weekend. We took a trip to Jaemoor Farmers Market and got some yummy fresh produce. Griffin loved hangin' with all the laid back country folk.

Maybe he's not quite ready for the umbrella stroller, but soon and very soon, we will be strolling with a little less bulk.

Look at that smile... he loves being outside.

A HUGE thanks to GG for coming to Dacula to watch Griffin and Clayton while Courtney and I did some Christmas shopping!! It was kinda weird to be away from the little guy for such long stretches, but I knew that he was in good hands.

Aunt Coco and Clayton having bathtime

Clayton and Uncle Blake... I wonder why Clayton almost bursts into tears when Blake enters the room.

This is the first attempt at a little Christmas photo shoot with the cousins. Maybe next time Griffin will be awake more and Clayton will puke less.

Move over McDreamy!
Our boy is 13 lbs!! We weighed Griffin last night and he has grown quite a bit. I guess that explains the double chin :)

This past weekend was full of lots of visitors!! We had friends from Memphis, Athens and Chattanooga stop by to see Griffin and to hang out for a bit. Even Uncle E made an appearance!
Travis and Elizabeth went to school with Blake at Miss. State. They were on their way to a wedding in NC when they dropped by to visit. We haven't seen them in years, so it was quite a treat!

Anna hung out with us on Saturday and she was able to see how much Griffin LOVES the activity mat that she and her mother gave us. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of Anna and Griffin together, but that just means that she will have to come over from Athens another time for a photo shoot :)
Chrissy stopped by on her way home from ATL. This was their first meeting, but I can already tell that they are big fans of each other.

Uncle E dropped by after his Energy Rating conference. (By the way, if you are in need of an energy audit on your home, check him out!! http://egc-llc.com) Who is the man?...to come all the way up here to hang out after a long day on the job. We love you Uncle E!

Griffin got lots of good holdin' time this weekend and I had some nice downtime in between visitors. Meanwhile, Blake (aka yard stud) burned limbs in the yard, hauled a load of firewood (large chunks of oak) to the backyard, split said firewood and was just an all-around man's man this weekend. If you can buy stock in Advil, it might not be a bad investment :)
Oh yeah, we also rearranged the furniture this weekend, what do you think?

Finally, you may be wondering how I came up with the title for this blog post. Well, apparently Millie thinks that she is a neuro-surgeon. As you can see in the pic below, Mr. Duck had a rough weekend. I'll try to mend him, but he may have seen his last romp with Millie. (By the way, as I type this, Millie is running like a crazy dog through the living room with another toy. One day, I'll try to get her on video b/c it's pretty hilarious.)

You are my sunshine!
Griffin has been cracking us up lately with his little smiles, laughs and coos. He is just the cutest thing! Here is a video for your viewing pleasure. Feel free to comment and tell me how cute my little boy is :)

Another development this week:
Every time I go into the nursery, Millie follows me. And every time, she pounces on the pile of stuffed animals that Griffin has accrued. And every time, I scold her. This week, however, she hijacked Mr. Duck and took off. I gave up. Mr. Duck has become a Millie toy. And she loves it!! She prances around with him in her mouth and bucks like a little bronco. How can I refuse her this simple joy? Especially when she has been getting the severe short end of the stick since our little man has made his appearance. You gotta love this dog...

Happy Halloween!!
Halloween... a great excuse to dress your kids up in ridiculous outfits and eat tons of candy. And we wouldn't miss it!
First, it was off to Macon for our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest at Aunt Kelli and Uncle Steve's house. We had a blast and were very impressed at everyone's carving abilities. This year, Uncle Tim took home the coveted toy rat for the very best pumpkin of the night.
Look at all those pumpkins!!

Here's a shot of the crowd waiting to vote on the winning pumpkin.

Uncle Tim with his toy rat which he will proudly display all year long in his home. (Blake thinks my family is weird... I can't see why :)

Griffin met Uncle Moon and Aunt Cherie at the pumpkin carving... I think Uncle Moon might have a little buddy on his hands. :)

Blake took Bennett on a little golf cart ride... pretty sure they bonded.

Griffin was in good hands while mom and dad carved pumpkins. Thanks Mops!!

Bets and PawPaw

GG bought Griffin the most adorable little monkey costume and it was a hit! Even though I felt sort of mean for putting the little guy in it (he wasn't exactly a fan of the costume at first), he was a hit and it was a great photo opp. Plus, with the nasty, dreary weather outside, it provided much needed warmth. After a short time, he snuggled right down in it and took himself a little snooze :)
Our little monkey man

FAMILY SHOT!!

Blake made a little Halloween runway for trick or treaters to find their way to our house for candy. His costume was a cowboy hat :)

Finally, the dawgs may have lost, but Griffin got to meet Sarah!! That almost makes up for a crappy day in Jacksonville!

We have some great video of Griffin playing on his little activity mat. He's talking and smiling and just being the absolute cutest! I'll be sure to post that soon.
