Quick Updates

Wow, I have no idea where to begin. In the last month, our lives have been a whirlwind of activity/travel/family/etc.

Since we finally closed on our house in Winston-Salem on May 22nd, we have been living in an Active Seniors Community that my dad and his business partner built in Monroe, GA. It has been the perfect spot for us to squat while we continued to search for a home in the NE Georgia area. The only thing missing in our little condo is the internet. Thus, the lack of updates this blog.

We recently put an offer on a house and are thrilled to say that we will close on our home at 1640 Archmont Circle, Dacula, GA on June 29th. In the meantime, we will be picking out paint colors and carpet and getting mentally prepared for another moving day.

Also, since we have made our move to GA, we have had a new addition to the family. Blake's sister gave birth to a happy, healthy baby boy named Clayton Charles Cox. He is absolutely precious!! We feel so lucky that we now live close enough that we will see much more of him than we ever would have in NC.

Finally, many of you have already expressed your condolences for the passing of my grandfather on the Sunday before Memorial Day. I appreciate all of the support that you have shown, it has certainly been a comfort to my family during this time. Pops was a good man. He was extremely well-respected by our family and the community. I recently saw a sign in an antique store that might be used to decorate in someone's home. The sign read "All because two people fell in love." It perfectly summarized how I feel about the family that my grandmother (Mops) and Pops built together. They were so in love and I feel so blessed to be a part of his legacy. I love my family.

So, that is my brief update for now. I promise that as soon as we can get settled into our home in Dacula, I will update more and post pictures too.
